This indenture made ----- 20th day of August Anno Domini 1684
between Thomas Pribble aged 21 years and upward of the one party
and Robert Shanks of Wapping in the County of Middlesex Marriner
on the other party. Wittnesseth the said Thomas Pribble doth
hereby covenant, promise and grant to and with the said Robert
Shanks his Executors and assigns from ye day of the date here of
until his first and next arrival into Maryland and after for and
during the term of four years to serve in such service and
employment as the said Robert Shanks or his assigns shall there
employ him according to the custom of the country in the _______,
in consideration where of the said Robert Shanks doth hereby
consent promise and grant to and with the said Thomas Pribble to
pay for his passage and to find and allow him meals ___, apparel and
lodging with other necessaries during the said term and at the
end of said term to pay unto him according to the custom of the
country in the ___ ____ _______.
