Chester “Red” Henry Everett, International Falls, Minn., died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007 at Falls Good Samaritan Care Center. Chet was 90 years old.

Chet was born July 20, 1917 in Hubbell, Mich., and grew up in South International Falls.

In 1939 he was united in marriage to Emily M. Soboleski in International Falls.

Chet worked as a steam fitter for Boise Cascade until his retirement July 31, 1979, after 35 years of service.

In his spare time Chet enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Emily; parents, Joseph and Edith Everett; brothers, Leslie Everett, William Everett and Glen Everett; and a sister, Arvel Mathews.

Chet is survived by his son, Peter Everett of Woodbridge, Va.; daughter, Linda (Tom) Stemm of St. Cloud, Minn.; grandchildren, Alyicia, Regina and Mara Stemm of Minneapolis, Minn., Crystal (Adam) Stenback of Ozark, Ark., and Jamie (Christina) Everett of Fargo, N.D.; great-grandchildren, Emma and Hannah Everett of Fargo, N.D. and Weston Stenback of Ozark, Ark.; his brother, John “Jack” Everett of International Falls, Minn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, with vigil prayers at Green-Larsen Mortuary.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, Dec. 27, at St. Thomas Catholic Church.

Tommie Glen Stemm, 47, of 226 SE 39, died following a long illness Monday in his home.

Stemm was employed by the Oklahoma City News as a printer and linotype operator for 17 years. Prior to his illness several months ago he was employed by the Capitol Hill Beacon.

Born January 6, 1898, in Johnson Co., Texas, he came to Boswell, in 1909. He had been a city resident for 23 years.

A member of the Lambuth Memorial Methodist church he is survived by his wife, Vivian, home address; two sons, Tommie Glen Jr., 3213 8 Lindsay, and Robert M., with the U.S. army in China; his mother, Mrs. Frances J. Stemm; a brother Claude both of the home address; and two sisters, Mrs. Edna Easter, 1822 NW 8 and Mrs. Vida Caddel of Guthrie.
