Klegstad, (Nee Trott) age 86, of West Bend, passed away on Monday January 17, 2005 at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center. She was born on May 5, 1918 on the family homestead farm in the Town of Addison to the late William and Susanna (Nee Rosenthal) Trott. Susanna was married to Arnold Desens in West Bend in 1937; he preceded her in death in 1964. In 1979 she was married to Noren Klegstad in Milwaukee, he also preceded her in death in 1990. Susanna lived in West Bend until 1960 when she moved to Milwaukee. She later moved to Karlstead, MN and then back to West Bend in 1995. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend for many years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and especially gardening. She is survived by three children, Ralph (Helen) Desens of New Lisbon, Donald (Diane) Desens of West Bend, and Virginia (Bruce) Hendrickson of Racine; eight grandchildren, Bonnie Desens, Clarissa (Jim) Rieke, David (Mary Beth) Desens, Debra (Dustin) Casey, James Young, Michael Young, Steven (Rachel) Desens, and Keith Hendrickson; five great-grandchildren, Alexandria Greider, Joseph Desens, Brandon Desens, Nicole Casey, and Allyson Casey; a brother Andrew (Vanelda) Trott of Allenton; a son-in-law Lee "Butch" Young of Milwaukee, a brother-in-law Victor Schattner of Caledonia; other relatives and friends. A daughter Rosemary Young, a sister Melinda Schattner, and three brothers Alfred Trott, Harry Trott, and William Trott preceded her in death. Funeral services for Susanna will be held on Thursday January 20th at 3:00 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 1:00 pm until the time of service. Entombment will follow in Washington County Memorial Park.1 |
