Cause of death: pneumonia Obituary published in the West Bend News on 27 March 1912: JACOB LIESENFELDER DEAD Succombs to Pneumonia at Home in the Town of Trenton. Jacob Liesenfelder died at his home in the town of Trenton on Thursday, March 21, 1912, his death being due to an attack of pneumonia. The deceased was born in Germany on May 4, 1845, and came to this country with his parents in 1848. The family settled in the town of Germantown. Mr. Liesenfelder was married to Francis Stellflug on Nov. 15, 1871, and they continued to reside in Germantown until the year 1905, when they moved to the town of Trenton. Their union was blessed with seven children, of whom one son and one daughter preceded the father in death. Those surviving are: Sophia (Mrs. Andrew Herman) of Jackson; Peter residing on the homestead in Germantown; Jacob of Barton, Herman of Laona, Forest county, Wis. and Andrew of Milwaukee. One adopted daughter, Marie, (Mrs. Frank Winninghoff) of Jackson, also survives. The funeral was held last Monday morning from the residence to the St. Mary's Catholic church at Barton; interment took place on the cemetery of that congregation. Rev. Ruhmann officiated. Information from death certificate: Jacob Liesenfelder, b. 6 May 1847 in Germany, d. 21 March 1912 in Trenton, Washington Co., Wisconsin. Cause of datth: Broncho Pneumonia.
