W.L. Moore, 78, died unexpectedly at his home, 953 N. Church Street Thursday [Feb 26, 1953] at noon.
Mr. Moore was a retired automobile upholsterer and had lived in Spartanburg many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church & the Woodmen of the World. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Cleo Moore; two daughters, Mrs. O.T. Price of Greensboro, NC, and Mrs. T.M. Dickens; two brothers, J.W. Moore of Kannapolis [NC], and L.M. Moore of Columbia; three sisters, Mrs. B.B. Martin of Laurens, Mrs. J.W. Jones of Greenville, & Mrs. F.W. Brewton of Memphis, Tenn.; & 4 grandchildren.
Funeral arrangments will be announced by M.W. Bobo Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services for W.L. Moore, 78, who died unexpectedly at his home, 953 N. church street, thursday at noon, will be conducted this afternoon at 3 in the M.W. Bobo Funeral Chapel.
Dr. John Slaughter, pastor of the First Baptist Church and Mr. Moore's pastor, and Dr. Norman Shands, his former pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Carl, Cyrus and John Moore, Paul Jamison, Ned and Frank Austell.
